Why the Seahawks can win the Super Bowl this year

You guys might think I’m crazy, but I really can prove it to you.. First of all I am not the only guy who thinks so. Nate Burleson from Good Morning Football also thinks this. He says the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl, they’re also 2-0 so they have a good chance. Why I Think So

Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is an amazing quarterback. This year he signed a 4 year- 140 million contract extension. Also, Wilson has the second highest passer rating in the NFC just behind Dak Prescott, but his Cowboys first 2 games have been both against teams that were under .500. The New York Giants and the Washington Redskins.

Rushing Game

Last season the Seahawks had the best rushing game averaging 160 ypd(yards per game). Their rushing game is very strong with Chris Carson. They have Rashaad Penny but he just got injured and is only questionable for week 3.

Defense

Last year the Seahawks defense wasn’t very good. They were 16th in yards gave up per game with 353.3 ypg. Then in the offseason they traded away there sack leader Frank Clark(14 sacks in 2018) to the Chiefs. Also Addison Reed(9 sacks in 2018) got suspended for the 6 weeks of the season. Jadeveon Clowney from the Texans for very cheap. The Texans are also paying 7 of the 15 million Clowney will earn in 2019. This year is also a contract year for Clowney so he will try get as many sacks and other stats as he can so that teams will offer him more money. The Seahawks now have 4 pro bowlers in their front 7 on defense. Including Bobby Wagner who was AP All-Pro.

Special Teams

Special teams is use usually not thought of as very important but, it can help teams win games. Last season rookie punter Michael Dickson was amazing for the Seahawks. He was also named AP All-Pro and was 2nd ranked punter behind a guy who only had 14 punts in the whole season.

Conclusion

All in all, the Seahawks have a very good offense, defense, and special teams. I am predicting they will have a 11-5 or 12-4 season and will probably get to the NFC championship.
